Kitui West MP hopeful Hon. Benedict Muasya joined the UDA brigade during an empowerment and public engagement forum held at Kavisuni Market in Kitui Rural on Friday, August 14, 2026. The event, hosted by Kitui Rural MP aspirant Hon. John Kisangau “Mbaki Mbaki”, brought together hundreds of residents and a host of political leaders for discussions on empowerment, development and the future of the community.
The forum was led by Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai, who commended Kisangau for bringing residents together and creating a platform for meaningful public engagement. She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting empowerment initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and creating opportunities for residents across the county.
Muasya’s participation alongside the UDA team added political significance to the gathering, as leaders continued to mobilize grassroots support ahead of the 2027 General Election. The Kitui West MP hopeful joined other leaders in engaging residents on the importance of unity and collaborative leadership in addressing challenges facing local communities.
The forum also brought together PS Jonathan Mueke, Kitui East MP Hon. Nimrod Mbai, former Mwingi Central MP Hon. Joe Mutambu, Mwingi West MP Hon. Charles Nguna “CNN”, Hon. Penina Malonza, Hon. Boniface Musambi, Hon. Beth Syengo, Hon. Martha Mati, Hon. Esther Ndile and Kitui County Assembly Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo Katisya, among other leaders.
Addressing the gathering, leaders emphasized that unity, effective service delivery and sustainable development remain critical to transforming communities. The Kavisuni engagement provided an opportunity for residents to interact with leaders directly, while also highlighting the growing political activity and grassroots mobilization in Kitui ahead of the 2027 elections.
