President William Ruto on Wednesday hosted UDA’s Ol Kalou parliamentary candidate Samuel Muchina Nyagah at State House, Nairobi, days after his defeat in the Ol Kalou by-election by DCP’s Douglas Kamau.
During the meeting, the President encouraged Muchina to remain steadfast and assigned him special party and development-related responsibilities, reaffirming his confidence in the former candidate despite the election outcome.
The meeting has been interpreted by political observers as a sign that President Ruto intends to keep Muchina actively involved in UDA’s political strategy ahead of the 2027 General Election.
