Kitui West parliamentary aspirant Hon. Benedict Muasya on Thursday hosted members of the Kitui West Interdenominational Clergy Fellowship for a prayer breakfast at his rural home, bringing together church leaders for fellowship, prayer and discussions on the future of the constituency.
Speaking during the gathering, Muasya said lasting transformation begins with a strong spiritual foundation, citing Psalm 127:1: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Church in its kingdom and community initiatives, acknowledging the critical role clergy play in strengthening families, promoting moral values and inspiring hope across society.
Muasya noted that leadership should be guided by humility, integrity and service, adding that partnerships between leaders and the Church are essential for sustainable community development. He said the prayer breakfast underscored the importance of seeking God’s guidance as leaders work towards the progress and prosperity of Kitui West.
The clergy in attendance prayed for peace, unity and wisdom among leaders, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts in addressing social and economic challenges facing residents. They also encouraged leaders to uphold honesty, accountability and compassion in public service.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen cooperation between the Church and community leaders in advancing development initiatives across Kitui West. Participants expressed optimism that continued dialogue and spiritual guidance would help foster a more united, peaceful and prosperous constituency ahead of future development and leadership engagements.
