Protect the Vote, Mobilize the People – Kitui Senator Hopeful Mbaya Kimwele Rallies Wiper Grassroots Ahead of 2027

The Outstanding CEC for Agriculture Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele and a leading aspirant for the Kitui County Senate seat in the 2027 General Election, joined Wiper Patriotic Front grassroots leaders during a meeting held at Simisi in Kanziku Ward, Kitui South, where discussions centered on voter mobilization and election preparedness.

The gathering brought together party leaders and supporters from the grassroots level to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening political organization ahead of the next electoral cycle. Leaders emphasized the need for unity and early preparations as political activities begin gaining momentum across the county.

Addressing the meeting, Dr. Mbaya Kimwele highlighted the critical role that grassroots leaders will play in ensuring the protection of votes during the election period. He noted that effective coordination at the local level would be essential in promoting transparency and safeguarding the will of voters.

He further stressed that voter turnout would be a key determinant of electoral success, urging local leaders to intensify efforts toward civic education and voter awareness campaigns. According to him, informed and active citizens are central to a credible democratic process.

Dr. Mbaya Kimwele called on leaders to encourage eligible residents to register as voters and actively participate in the electoral process.
