Kitui Central MP Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, CBS, on Saturday participated in two significant events that highlighted both cultural heritage and political engagement.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Makali joined family members, friends, and residents in Unyaa, Kyangwithya West Ward, for the traditional wedding ceremony (Ngasya) of Michelle, daughter of Dr. Isaac Kalua Green, and Michael Obiero. The colorful ceremony brought together relatives, community leaders, and well-wishers to celebrate the couple’s union while upholding the rich cultural traditions of the Kamba community.
Later in the evening, the legislator attended the unveiling of the SKM 2027 Presidential Campaign Platform at Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel in Nairobi. The event was led by Wiper Party leader and former Vice President, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, and brought together leaders and supporters from across the country under the Wiper Patriotic Front.
Dr. Makali joined fellow party members in reaffirming their commitment to the movement’s agenda of national transformation and improved governance. Leaders at the event emphasized the need for citizen-centered leadership and renewed efforts to address the economic and social challenges facing Kenyans.
The day’s activities reflected a blend of cultural pride and political resolve, as Dr. Makali celebrated community traditions while also standing with the Wiper movement’s mission of “Komboa Kenya” and advancing its vision ahead of the 2027 General Election.
