The national government has handed over nine bulk milk coolers in Narok County in a major boost to the dairy sector. The coolers are expected to benefit more than 3,900 dairy farmers and support the aggregation of up to 20,000 litres of milk daily, helping reduce post-harvest losses and improve milk quality.

Speaking during the handover, Principal Secretary for Livestock Development Hon. Jonathan Mueke said the investment is part of the government’s commitment to strengthening dairy cooperatives and increasing farmers’ incomes. He noted that improved milk handling and storage infrastructure will enhance efficiency in the dairy value chain and create better market opportunities for producers.

The PS thanked Narok Governor Patrick Keturet Ole Ntutu, Narok County Woman Representative Rebecca Tonkei, and other local leaders for their support in championing the growth of the dairy sector. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to empowering farmers and driving agricultural transformation across the country.
