Mark Nding’o on Thursday inspected the ongoing renovation works at the maternity theatre of Yatta Health Centre, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the ward. The MCA expressed satisfaction with the pace of the project, noting that the upgrade is set to significantly improve maternal and emergency health services once completed.
The project, which also includes the construction of a modern incinerator to enhance medical waste management, is being implemented to boost hygiene standards and ensure safer clinical operations at the facility. According to the MCA, the improved infrastructure will help the health centre better handle increasing patient numbers while maintaining quality service delivery.
Funded through the support of the Safaricom M-Pesa Foundation, the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare systems at the community level. The foundation’s investment is expected to complement county government efforts in expanding access to safe and efficient maternal healthcare services across Yatta and surrounding areas.
