Kitui South Member of Parliament Dr. Rachael Nyamai on Sunday, June 7, 2026, conducted a people’s tour of Yumbu in Ikutha Sub-County, where she reaffirmed her commitment to bringing essential government services closer to residents.
Addressing wananchi during the visit, the legislator said her office was working closely with relevant government agencies to ensure that key public services become more accessible to local communities across the constituency.
Dr. Nyamai announced that processed title deeds will soon be distributed to residents, a move expected to enhance land ownership security and empower families through legal documentation of their property.
She further revealed that services such as national identity card registration and birth certificate processing will be decentralized to reduce the burden of traveling long distances in search of government services.
According to the MP, the initiative is aimed at improving efficiency in service delivery while ensuring that residents, especially those in remote areas, can easily access critical government documents.
Residents welcomed the announcement, noting that easier access to registration and documentation services would save them both time and money while improving access to opportunities that require official identification documents.
Dr. Nyamai reiterated her dedication to transforming Kitui South through people-centered development programs, emphasizing that her leadership remains focused on improving service delivery and enhancing the quality of life for all residents of the constituency.
