On Thursday afternoon, Mark Nding’o held a consultative meeting with Yatta Kwavonza Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) at Yatta Health Centre. The engagement focused on strengthening community health service delivery and addressing key challenges affecting grassroots healthcare outreach in the area.
During the meeting, the CHVs highlighted various issues they encounter in their daily work, including resource limitations, mobility challenges, and the need for enhanced support to improve efficiency in reaching households. They also shared their experiences in promoting preventive health care, maternal health awareness, and disease surveillance within the community.
Speaking after the discussions, MCA Mark Nding’o commended the CHVs for their dedication and commitment to serving residents. “I was impressed by their passion to serve the community on health matters,” he stated, reaffirming his support for initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services and empowering frontline health workers in the ward.
