Governor Malombe Commissions New Health Facilities at Kyangunga Health Centre to Boost Healthcare Services

On Friday, June 19, 2026 – Residents of Kyangunga in Mulango Ward received a major boost in healthcare services after Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe commissioned key health infrastructure projects at Kyangunga Health Centre constructed under his administration. The Governor officially opened a new inpatient block, a maternity unit, and a staff house aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery within the area.

The newly commissioned facilities are expected to significantly improve access to quality medical services, enhance maternal healthcare, and create a better working environment for health personnel. The investment underscores the county government’s commitment to expanding healthcare infrastructure and ensuring residents receive efficient and reliable medical services closer to their communities.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Malombe reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to improving healthcare standards across Kitui County through strategic investments in health facilities and medical support systems.

The event was attended by area MCA Peter Mwanza, Nominated MCA Mary Ndumbu, County Executive Committee Member for Health Ruth Koki, Chief Officer for Medical Services Dr. Benson Musyoka, Chief Officer for Public Health Lynn Kitwan, alongside other county officials and local leaders.
