Leaders Commission Water Project and Maternity Wing in Kisasi Ward
On Friday, March 2026 – kitui Governor Dr Julius Makau Malombe led the commissioning of the Nzeeu Kavasya Ngiluni Water Project and the Ngiluni Maternity Wing in Ngiluni, Kisasi Ward, Kitui Rural Sub-County.
The event was attended by Kisasi Ward MCA Nicholas Mutemi and MCA Mark Ndingo, who joined residents in celebrating the completion of the two key development projects aimed at improving access to essential services in the area.
The Nzeeu Kavasya Ngiluni Water Project is expected to boost access to clean and reliable water for households in Ngiluni and surrounding villages, easing the burden residents have faced due to water scarcity.
At the same time, the newly commissioned Ngiluni Maternity Wing will enhance maternal healthcare services by bringing closer medical support for expectant mothers and reducing the need to travel long distances to seek maternity care.
Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Malombe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding water and healthcare infrastructure across Kitui County to improve the livelihoods of residents.
Local leaders present praised the county government for prioritizing grassroots development projects that directly benefit communities. Residents welcomed the projects, noting that they will significantly improve both water access and healthcare services in Kisasi Ward.
