Residents of Emali and Ukia have expressed excitement and joy as the ongoing tarmacking of the Emali–Ukia Road moves closer to completion, a project many locals say will improve transportation, ease movement of goods, and boost economic activities in the region.
The road project, which has attracted attention from residents and online users alike, is being viewed as a significant step toward improving infrastructure and connectivity in the area. Images and updates of the ongoing works have left many netizens impressed by the progress being made.
Speaking on the development, Kibwezi West Member of Parliament Mwengi Mutuse praised the government’s efforts and emphasized the importance of development-focused leadership.
“Kazi ndio majibu. Kelele, chuki, ukabila na matusi zimepitwa na wakati,” said the MP, stressing that service delivery remains the key priority.
Mutuse noted that the project is progressing steadily and expressed confidence that the road works are on the right track.
“We are on course,” he said.
The legislator further lauded the Kenya Kwanza administration, saying the government continues to fulfill its development agenda through infrastructure projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
Residents believe that once completed, the Emali–Ukia Road will open up the area for business opportunities, improve accessibility, and reduce transport challenges that have affected the region for years.
