Kithure Kindiki Dismisses Opposition Unity Efforts, Says Outcome Already Decided

Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has taken a swipe at opposition leaders, questioning their strategy and political readiness ahead of future contests.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Kindiki argued that the opposition lacks clear policy direction and suggested that any efforts to unite behind a single candidate would not change the political landscape.

“It matters not that the policy-bankrupt opposition will agree to support one from among themselves. Even delaying the unveiling of their flagbearer to the last minute will not help. It’s a fait accompli,” he posted.

His remarks are expected to intensify political debate, as leaders across the political divide continue positioning themselves ahead of upcoming political engagements.

The comments are likely to draw reactions from opposition leaders, who have maintained that unity and issue-based campaigns will shape their political agenda.

Kindiki’s statement adds to the growing exchanges between government-allied leaders and the opposition over leadership, policy direction, and the country’s political future.
