The atmosphere of worship and praise filled Evangelical Alliance Pentecostal Church (EAPC) in Kamatumo, Tharaka Ward, on Sunday as Dr. Hon. Makali Mulu joined congregants for a church service and used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to unity and inclusive development across Kitui County.
Addressing the faithful after the service, Dr. Makali expressed gratitude to the people of Tharaka Ward for their warm reception and continued support. He emphasized that residents of Tharaka are an integral part of Kitui County and deserve equal opportunities and attention in matters of development.
“Tharaka is Kitui, and Kitui is Tharaka. We will not allow anyone to divide what God has joined,” he told the congregation.
Dr. Makali warned against efforts aimed at creating division, tribalism, and favoritism within the county, saying Kitui’s progress depends on maintaining unity among its people.
He noted that the county’s strength lies in its togetherness, stretching from Nzambani to Tharaka and from Kisasi to Kyatune.
The leader further assured residents that if elected Governor in 2027, his administration would prioritize equitable service delivery throughout the county without discrimination.
According to Dr. Makali, key sectors including road infrastructure, water access, healthcare, education, and market development would receive equal attention across all wards.
“Leadership is about service, not sides. Every ward matters. Every voice matters. Every mwananchi matters,” he said.
The event underscored a message of unity, inclusivity, and shared progress, with Dr. Makali reiterating that a united Kitui County remains essential for sustainable development and prosperity.
