Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu, PhD, has declared that he will decisively defeat former Governor Charity Ngilu in the 2027 Kitui gubernatorial race. Speaking during a public event in Kitui Central, Dr. Mulu exuded confidence, saying his development record and integrity make him the best choice to lead Kitui County into a new era of transformation
“I will beat Ngilu squarely in 2027. I am a legend who can’t buy fear. The people of Kitui know my record and what I stand for,” he said amid cheers from an enthusiastic crowd. The legislator stated that his leadership will prioritize accountability, inclusivity, and economic growth, ensuring every part of the county benefits from equitable development.
Dr. Mulu outlined key areas he intends to focus on, including empowering youth and women, revitalizing agriculture, and promoting industrialization to create jobs. He said his mission is to unlock Kitui’s full potential by utilizing local resources and attracting investment that directly benefits residents.
He also criticized leaders who, he said, thrive on division and propaganda, calling on Kitui residents to unite and embrace issue-based politics. “Our county needs progress, not endless political noise. I am here to work for the people, not to fight them,” he added.
