High ranking Kitui Central Mp Dr. Makali Mulu has boldly declared that he will defeat former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu in the 2027 gubernatorial race, saying he is entering the political contest with confidence and a clear development agenda. Speaking during a public gathering in Kitui, the Kitui Central MP said he is prepared to lead the county into what he described as a new era of transformation and inclusive leadership.
Addressing supporters at the event, Dr. Mulu maintained that his political journey and service record have earned him the trust of residents across the county. He said leadership should be measured by impact and results rather than political slogans and public excitement.
“I will beat Ngilu squarely in 2027. I am a legend who can’t buy fear,” Dr. Mulu told supporters amid loud cheers from the crowd. He insisted that he remains focused on serving the people and delivering meaningful change across Kitui County.
The legislator said his leadership priorities would include youth empowerment, expansion of economic opportunities, support for farmers, and strengthening education and healthcare sectors.
