Kitui County Woman Representative hopeful Fridah Makasi on Saturday joined kitui west Mp hon Edith Nyenze and leaders from more than 10 women groups during a meeting held at Kabati Playground in Kauwi, Kitui West Constituency.
The gathering brought together hundreds of women and community leaders who discussed issues affecting women, youth empowerment, economic development, and leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election. Speaking at the event, Makasi reaffirmed her commitment to championing the rights and welfare of women across Kitui County, pledging to promote programs that enhance economic opportunities and social empowerment.
Makasi, who is emerging as one of the leading contenders for the Wiper Party ticket in the Woman Representative race, has continued to gain visibility through her grassroots engagements and advocacy for womenโs rights. Political observers view her as a strong mobilizer with an expanding support base across the county, positioning her as a key figure in the race as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
