KITUI EAST MP NIMROD MBAI TAKES SWIPE AT KALONZO MUSYOKA IN SOCIAL MEDIA POST

Kitui East Member of Parliament Nimrod Mbai has sparked political debate after posting a strongly worded message directed at Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on his social media platforms.

In the post, Mbai appeared to question Kalonzo’s leadership record, contrasting development achievements between long-serving leaders and younger politicians. He wrote: “Kura ya roho imeisha, kura imepanda kwa akili,” loosely translating to suggest that voters are increasingly making decisions based on practical considerations rather than emotions.

Mbai further raised concerns over infrastructure development, claiming that while some senior leaders have spent decades in leadership, residents in certain areas continue to use earth roads, while younger leaders have delivered significant road projects within shorter periods.

“How do you explain a senior leader for 40 years having his people drive home on earth road and another young leader in eight years has built 50 kilometres of tarmac?” Mbai stated in his message.

The legislator also questioned the basis of broader regional leadership claims, before ending the post with a direct message to the Wiper leader saying, “HE Hon Kalonzo Musyoka, Avai Tata, your time up.”

The remarks are expected to fuel political discussions within the Ukambani region as leaders position themselves ahead of future political contests.

By the time of publication, Kalonzo Musyoka had not publicly responded to Mbai’s remarks.
