Kenya to Host Africa Forward Summit 2026 in Nairobi – PS Mueke

Kenya is set to host the prestigious Africa Forward Summit 2026 in Nairobi, bringing together Heads of State, policymakers, innovators, investors and development partners from across Africa and beyond.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Principal Secretary for Livestock Development Jonathan Mueke said Kenya was honored to host the continental gathering, which is expected to focus on key development priorities including sustainable agriculture, food security, innovation and inclusive economic growth.

The PS noted that sustainable agriculture will be among the major agenda items during the summit discussions, with leaders expected to explore practical solutions aimed at strengthening food systems, supporting farmers and improving agricultural productivity across the continent.

According to Mueke, the summit presents a crucial opportunity for African nations and global partners to collaborate on strategies that can help address climate change challenges, enhance resilience in agriculture and unlock economic opportunities for millions of people.

The Africa Forward Summit 2026 is also expected to provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, investment partnerships and policy discussions geared towards accelerating Africa’s development agenda.

Kenya welcomed delegates to Nairobi, with the government expressing optimism that the summit will contribute to building a stronger, more prosperous and food-secure Africa.
