Hon. John Makau, the incoming Mwingi Central MP hopeful for 2027, today joined worshippers at Waita Full Gospel Church of Kenya during the church’s Annual Come Together Service, where he delivered a message centered on peace, unity, and responsible leadership.
Addressing the congregation, Hon. Makau urged residents of Mwingi Central to remain united and committed to peaceful coexistence as the constituency gradually begins preparations for the 2027 General Election. He emphasized that development and progress can only be achieved in an environment where harmony and mutual respect prevail.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical story of David, the aspiring legislator reminded believers that God rewards faithfulness, humility, and dedication to service. He encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God’s timing, noting that true leadership is built on character rather than outward appearances.
Quoting 1 Samuel 16:7, Hon. Makau said, “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” He urged residents to embrace values of integrity, honesty, and compassion as they make decisions that will shape the future of the constituency.
The service concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and unity in Mwingi Central. Hon. Makau reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people and called upon all residents to work together in building a peaceful, united, and prosperous constituency for future generations.
