Kitui East parliamentary aspirant Hon. Zak Syengo continued to intensify his 2027 campaign activities over the weekend through a series of development-focused engagements and interactions with residents across the constituency.
On Friday, June 5, 2026, Syengo hosted Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe during a development tour of Voo/Kyamatu Ward. The governor commissioned and inspected several county government projects aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, and water access in the area.
Among the projects visited was the 150-metre Kiangini Thua Bridge located in Imale/Kiangini Village, a key infrastructure project expected to improve connectivity and ease transportation for local residents. The delegation also inspected the Kyamatu Health Centre at Sukulu Nguu in Kyamatu/Nzanzu Village.
The team further assessed the progress of the Muthungue–Masikalini–Imuumba–Ndila road project in Muthungue Village, which is expected to enhance movement of people and goods within the ward. They also visited the Kaluasi Borehole in Kasasi Village, a project designed to improve access to clean water for surrounding communities.
On Saturday, June 6, a site handover ceremony was conducted for the grading of the Kinakoni–Miambani–Kiati Junction road in Kasasi Village. Residents welcomed the project, expressing optimism that the road upgrade will improve transport and support economic activities in the area.
On Sunday, June 7, Syengo joined worshippers at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zombe Town, where he participated in the church service and later took part in the congregation’s annual Ngetha fundraising contributions.
The weekend activities underscored Syengo’s growing presence across Kitui East as he continues to engage residents, support community initiatives, and highlight development projects ahead of the 2027 parliamentary elections.
