The office of Mark Nding’o has officially handed over the Muusini street lighting project to the contractor, marking the start of installation works at Muusini Shopping Center in Nyanyaa/Ndunguni village. The project, popularly referred to as “mulika mwizi,” aims to enhance security and improve night-time visibility in the area.
The handover ceremony was conducted by the MCA’s office staff and brought together key stakeholders, including Nyanyaa/Ndunguni Village Administrator Mary Muli, sub-county engineers from KRC, and representatives from the local community. The presence of these officials underscored the collaborative effort behind the project’s implementation.
Residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the street lights will deter crime, boost local business activities, and improve overall safety. The project is part of ongoing development efforts by the ward leadership to improve infrastructure and quality of life for the people of Muusini and surrounding areas.
