Kitui East Wiper Mp Candidate Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo has publicly criticized Nimrod Mbai accusing him of diverting attention from accountability issues by directing attacks toward Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. The remarks were shared in a political statement circulated through a media graphic and have since attracted public attention.
In his statement, Kiema argued that Mbai should focus on addressing concerns raised by oversight institutions instead of engaging in political confrontations. He stated that leadership requires accountability and attention to public issues rather than personal or political disputes.
Kiema further referenced allegations involving KSh 86.6 million in bursary funds and other public resources. According to the statement, he called on Mbai to respond to Auditor-General queries relating to the alleged handling of the funds under his leadership. The claims have become part of a growing political debate surrounding accountability in public office.
The comments also introduced a direct comparison involving Kalonzo Musyoka, with Kiema asserting that Mbai should refrain from targeting the former Vice President. Such exchanges highlight the increasingly heated political environment as leaders and their supporters continue to exchange accusations and counter-accusations.
