Kitui East MP aspirant Henry Nyamai has reiterated that leadership should remain people-centered, inclusive, and firmly action-oriented, saying development must be equitably distributed to ensure that no village or ward is left behind. He emphasized his commitment to empowering youth, strengthening education systems, and supporting churches as key pillars of community development across Kitui East Constituency.

He noted that he has been engaging widely with electorates across the constituency to understand local priorities and strengthen service delivery partnerships. On Friday 5/6/2026, he accompanied H.E. Dr. Julius Malombe in a series of development inspections and commissions within Voo/Kyamatu Ward aimed at accelerating grassroots transformation.

Among the key highlights of the day was the commissioning of the Thua Drift at Kiangini Shopping Center in Kiangini/Emale County Village, alongside a public baraza where residents were engaged on matters of infrastructure and local development needs.

The delegation also commissioned the Kyamatu Old School Modern Dispensary, a project expected to improve access to healthcare services for residents, with Nyamai and other leaders holding a public baraza to interact directly with the community on service delivery priorities.

Further, they inspected the ongoing Muthungue–Masikalini–Imumba–Ndila Police Station road project, which is expected to enhance connectivity, improve security response, and ease movement of goods and services across the area once completed.

In addition, the leaders commissioned the Kaluasi borehole development and associated civil works, including drilling, solar-powered pump installation, pipeline extension, and the establishment of a water kiosk, a project set to significantly improve access to clean water for local households.

On Saturday 6/6/2026, Nyamai joined residents and leaders in Malalani, Endau/Malalani Ward, for a thanksgiving and Nzisya celebration honoring former Kitui East MP Hon. Mwikya Mweu, in an event marked by unity, reflection, and community appreciation.

He also joined parents, teachers, students, Board of Management members, and the wider community at Yiuku Secondary School during a fundraising event aimed at constructing a new administration block, reaffirming his support for education infrastructure development.

Later, he attended a church service with congregants at Voo town during a Ngetha fundraising event at St. Joseph Voo Catholic Church, where the faithful mobilized resources in support of ongoing church development initiatives.

On the same weekend, Nyamai joined national political stakeholders at the unveiling of H.E Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka SC’s presidential campaign platform at Ole Sereni Hotel, a gathering that brought together leaders rallying behind the broader political agenda of the Wiper Democratic Movement, before concluding his Sunday 7/6/2026 engagements by supporting Holy Spirit Zombe Parish during a mega fundraising drive aimed at constructing a modern mission house in Zombe town, reinforcing his continued commitment to both spiritual and community development initiatives.
