Former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu joined more than 500 clergy members from different churches across Kitui County during a monthly interdenominational prayer and thanksgiving service held at Potters Church House of Bishops in Kitui Town.
Mama Ngilu attended the gathering at the invitation of Bishop Charles Kimolo, where religious leaders came together to pray for the county and its people.
Addressing the congregation, Mama Ngilu cited Psalm 122:1, saying, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord,” as she expressed gratitude for the role church leaders continue to play in building strong communities and promoting moral values.
She commended the clergy for their dedication to serving the people and fostering unity across the county through spiritual guidance and community support.
During the service, the bishops offered prayers for Mama Ngilu, wishing her good health, strength, and God’s grace as she continues advocating for the development and welfare of Kitui residents.
The interdenominational prayer meetings bring together clergy from various denominations and are held on the last Friday of every month.
