Makali Mulu, Rachael Kaki Nyamai and Paul Nzengu on Wednesday joined residents and National Assembly officials at the Kitui Multipurpose Hall during the ongoing public participation forum on the FY 2026/2027 Budget and Appropriations process.
Speaking during the forum, Makali Mulu, who hosted the event, said the exercise provided wananchi with an opportunity to directly present their development priorities to Parliament. Residents reportedly called for improved road networks, construction of more earth dams, expanded electricity connectivity and enhanced border security to
boost livelihoods and improve service delivery across Kitui County.
The Kitui Central lawmaker said the views collected from the public would help shape future development planning and resource allocation. He reiterated his commitment to championing projects that address the needs of local communities, adding that inclusive public participation remains key in driving sustainable development in Kitui County.
