The national government has successfully delivered two key development projects in Ithookwe—the Ithookwe Stadium and the Ithookwe Airstrip—marking a major milestone in improving infrastructure and enhancing economic growth in the region.
The projects are expected to boost sports development, transport connectivity, trade, and investment opportunities while creating new avenues for youth empowerment and local business growth.
Residents and leaders from Kitui County have welcomed the completion of the projects, describing them as transformative investments that will open up the area for easier access and future development.
The stadium is set to nurture local talent and host major sporting events, while the airstrip is expected to improve movement of people and goods, strengthening Kitui’s link to other parts of the country.
